Hire Us.

Hi there, thanks for landing on this page, we’re hoping it’s because you’d like to work with us. We’d sure like to work with you.

We offer a whole suite of services and would also love to chat to you about any bespoke engagements that you’d like to work on.

Workshops + Public Speaking.

Co-Founder of Sustainable Table, Cassie Duncan, is an exceptional public speaker and has honed her skills through years of representing Sustainable Table at functions and through her hobby as a marriage celebrant. She is particularly adept at presenting on hard-hitting topics, yet in a compassionate and practical way so that attendees can leave with newfound skills and ideas to adapt into their everyday lives.

Cassie is available to present at a wide range of events and venues including council and community events, schools, dinners and corporate functions. She will always tailor her presentations around topics that are of specific interest to you and your stakeholders.

Topics that have been covered in the past include:

  • We need to talk about waste – A practical guide to adopting a zero waste lifestyle
  • What’s food got to do with it? – A 10 step guide to reducing your eco-footprint by changing the way you shop and eat
  • Meet your meat – How to be a mindful meat eater and reduce your consumption to improve environmental and animal welfare outcomes
  • Sustainable seafood – What’s happening to our oceans and waterways, what the heck is sustainable seafood and how do I find it?

Prices start at $500 + GST for a 1 hour presentation and include a free copy of our eBooks, The Clever Cook and The Good Fish Book for the first 20 participants.

To find out more or to talk to us about your speaking engagement opportunity, contact info@sustainabletable.org.au or call 03 8644 4050.

Give a Fork! Workplace Lunches + Dinners.

Bring ‘MasterChef’ to your workplace with our Give a Fork! corporate engagement program, a joint initiative from Sustainable Table and our friends at Pot & Pan Culinary Tailoring, Sam and Celeste Gant (you might remember Sam from the 2014 MasterChef series).

We believe that the best way to encourage people to buy into a more sustainable food system is to lead by example and present them with a menu that is too damn delicious to ignore. That’s why we’re offering three dining packages designed to be shared amongst colleagues. All ingredients are from organic and small-scale, local producers and the dining experience will be complemented with an engaging and educational presentation from the Sustainable Table team. Staff will receive a FREE CLEVER COOK eBOOK following the event to help them embrace a more sustainable lifestyle at home.

Marketing + Communications Consulting.

We provide specialist Marketing and Communications consulting services to groups working in the sustainable food space. Work we engage in includes strategic marketing plans, website content copywriting, website building, social media support and community engagement tools such as eBooks and brochures.

We specialise in delivering complex ideas and topics in an easy-to-understand and digestible format as well as facilitating teams to develop a clearer picture of where they want to get to and how.

This collaborative approach to our work is key to building a resilient local food system based on clear communication and interconnections between growers, suppliers and eaters.

City of Melbourne

We developed a sustainable food information tool for the City of Melbourne called We Need to Talk About Food, which provides information about the food system in Australia as well as a range of useful resources to help people participate in a fair, sustainable food future.

We Need to Talk About Food PDF can be downloaded here.

South East Food Hub

The South East Food Hub was established as a pilot project to test the feasibility of a food delivery model that focuses on local people receiving local produce.

This region was specifically chosen because it is an under-represented area of Victoria both in terms of customer access to fresh food and easy access to market for its’ producers.
Sustainable Table developed a strategic marketing plan for the South East Food Hub, as well as a new website and suite of marketing collateral.

Freelance Writing.

Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to engage her to write on a food sustainability topic or to request some of her past work.

Testimonials + Feedback.

“I have worked with Cassie Duncan and Sustainable Table for the best part of two years. I first knew of Cassie’s work via a Facebook group I followed and Cassie became to me an authority on sustainability. In particular on the topic of food waste. The film Sustainable Table produced “Waste Deep”, to me, hit at the very essence of sustainability and the messaging was very simple, personal and was something everyday people could utilise and help affect their own actions towards living a more sustainable lifestyle.”

“Cassie is knowledgeable and passionate about sustainability, she is professional in her delivery and has a wonderful engagement method. I cannot recommend her highly enough and I look forward to an ongoing working relationship with Sustainable table in the future.”

“Cassie, it was an absolute pleasure having you on the panel last night. I loved the discussion and really appreciated the depth of your contribution. It really re-focused me again in a way that was very necessary. Thanks so much and I look forward to our paths crossing again.”
Anna Schoo, Festival Producer
