Melodie from Farm to Face getting #grexy with her cloth bag

Question: Isn’t it way sexier to take care of the planet than it is to trash it?
Answer: Hell yes!

No one looks at a dude scrunching up his chip packet and throwing it into the ocean and thinks, “My goodness, what a sex god”, now do they?

That’s why our new April 2016 Give a Fork! campaign is designed to give all us ‘greenies’ the street cred we deserve…

The other good news? This year there’s no fundraising, just a personal contribution to take on a challenge! Read our lovely email below to find out more.

GIVE A FORK! ABOUT FOOD, APRIL 2016

As well as asking Aussies to learn about where their food comes from and empowering us all to create a food system that’s fair, healthy, humane and good for the environment, Give a Fork! 2016 also celebrates being eco-friendly and brings the sexy back into it.

WE’VE COINED THE TERM #GREXY

Yes, we’re bringing sexy back (to caring). To this end, we coined the term#grexy.

* grexy /greksi/adj. used to describe a sexy or appealing person who is also a greenie. A sexy greenie. “Hey look at that girl with her reusable cup, she’s so grexy.”

To see examples of #grexy folk who are also this year’s Faces of Change, head to our website.

Go on, break into a little J Timberlake, we know you want to.

NEW WAY TO GIVE A FORK!

Unlike previous October campaigns, this year’s campaign has a general ‘give a fork about food’ theme and is running for the month of April. There are a two other little changes that we hope makes the whole thing a lot more accessible and a lot more fun:

Instead of dinner parties… Instead of hosting a dinner party, we’re asking you to sign up to one of three #grexy eco-challenges designed for newbies to sustainability, right through to the fully-fledged eco warrior. We want to show the world that taking simple sustainability actions in our everyday lives is actually a cool thing to do, and not as hard as you might think.

No fundraising! Instead of having to ask your friends and family for money, the #grexy challenges have a registration fee starting at $20, which buys you us for a month. Well ok, it buys you daily emails written by us to help guide you successfully through your chosen challenge. You also gain free access to our eBooks, The Clever Cook and The Good Fish Book, as well as recipes, guides and other priceless content. Money raised from registration fees supports ourAwareness & Education work.
